WNC Fiction Writers is a volunteer-run endeavor. Our focus is on building a thriving ecosystem for fiction writers in the Asheville NC area as well as Southern Appalachia more broadly. We are committed to providing a supportive community for writers of commercial fiction by

• Creating a supportive community welcoming of all fiction writers – we welcome all genres within the fiction umbrella, authors who are interested in a traditional or indie publication path, and are active supporters of our LGBTQA and BIPOC neighbors.
• Providing frequent educational and networking opportunities for writers of all skill levels
• Stimulate interest in and appreciation for the talent in our region, and for writing (and reading) in general
